Protect your accounts. Assay everything that is presented and only exchange the precious commodity of rational thought and choice for what is truly worth it.
Epictetus - "test and separate appearances and to act on nothing that is untested."
Know the problem to be solved and the impact solving it will have. Sit in it. Feel it. Think on it.
Now measure out carefully what needs to be done to solve the problem. Just enough, no less, no more. Do it.
And then ask, did it work? Is there more to be done?
Doing one thing at a time until done or proven foolish is the mundane path of the truly creative and effective.
Whereas the allure of the next best thing and jumping off in all directions, albeit exciting and stimulating, ends with nothing but exhaustion.
Be a boring creative genius that delivers. Put one foot methodically after the other, considering where you are and where to go next, with each step you take.
Test impressions. Pause to study them. Ask who they are and where they come from. And then decide whether to be impressed or not.
