Don’t have to do lists, instead have measures to be achieved...
/Deciding what to do and judging success or fail by whether you complete it or not isn’t necessarily a measure of success. Why did you decide to do what you did? What as a result of doing that thing did you hope to change? What key performance indicator should move to attain what result? Doing the work is good, but doing meaningless work is bad. Better question to ask when judging goal achievement is did we achieve the measure of success that we wanted by completing this work? Actually an even better question to ask when considering what goals to take on is what measure of success can I achieve if I do this? If there isn’t one that matters why bother? Take it off the todo list.
