Reduction

When functionality is breaking, simplify and reduce the problem by reducing the scope of the functionality provided, even at the risk of losing Users over the lost functions. Having a lot of Users who are upset about broken software as a whole, versus a few Users who leave and the rest are thrilled with the simpler solution that works really well, is a tradeoff that must be made in triage situations and is a far better strategy in the long run - think disruption theory.
